“The service with VK was amazing from the moment I landed in Tanzania to the second I got dropped off at the airport. I always felt comfortable and at home, which is a lot to say coming from a different country. I always felt I could talk to any of the VK staff about any problems or concerns and they made my stay really fun… But what really made it for me were the people. From my host family to the strangers on the streets and the kids in school, everyone would always be so friendly and welcoming. I would be greeted by multiple people I did not know, which I felt was so heart-warming… Never have I met so many nice people, let alone all at the same time! “I was able to really experience Tanzania because our stay was outside the cities. Arusha was definitely a bit overwhelming and so it was nice to be part of a smaller community – even though it hit me that there are many more people in Tarakea than you would expect.
